SUMMARY:Advanced Instructor Course: Center for Healthcare Simulation (CHS) - Singapore
DESCRIPTION:Simulation Instructor Training: Advanced Instructor Course (AIC)\nThe April 26-29\, 2022 course will only be offered online from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Singapore General Time (SGT). View the course start time in your local time zone. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. \nDesigned to prepare leaders in simulation-based education both to develop their own debriefing and feedback skills and to structure and enhance simulation faculty development\, and strategic management of their simulation programs. Using cutting edge educational theory and practice\, the course presents a conceptual framework and uses repeated micro-cycles of practice and feedback on debriefing\, scenarios\, and strategic challenges to accelerate skill acquisition and demonstrate methods of faculty development. The course is structured to allow participants to experience a model of peer- and mentor-led “community of inquiry.” This community allows individuals to reflect on their own and other people’s instructional and management practices in action. \nThe daily format varies and includes didactics\, advanced debriefing practice\, advanced scenario development\, development of advanced self-observation and reflection skills\, and peer- and mentor-led consulting on strategic challenges for your simulation program. \nCourse Prerequisites\nTo be eligible for this course\, participants must have previously taken either the Healthcare Simulation Essentials (formerly Comprehensive Instructor) or Simulation as a Teaching Tool courses. Individuals who have not taken either course may apply for an exemption if they can demonstrate significant debriefing experience and expertise. Please contact us to request an exemption. \nApplication Deadline: Sept. 20\, 2021\nLearn more about the Advanced Instructor Course in general.\nLearn more about the NUS-CMS Advanced Instructor Course.\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:ACRM-F7/MOCA® Workshop
DESCRIPTION:MOCA®/Crisis Resource Management Training for Practicing Anesthesiologists (ACRM) \nThe Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) offers intensive one day workshops in Anesthesia Crisis Resource Management (ACRM) for all anesthesiologists that will meet the MOCA® Part IV simulation requirement. \nCMS Anesthesia Crisis Resource Management workshops are designed for those anesthesiologists seeking to practice their skills in managing critical events. The overall focus of these workshops is on learning the type of teamwork and generic skills needed when managing any kind of infrequent but critical event in anesthesia and opportunities will be made available to learn skills in managing certain specific events. During the workshops\, participants requiring MOCA® certification will each have a turn as the primary anesthesiologist caring for the patient. \nPlease note that if you are from BWH\, BIDMC\, BCH\, MGH\, NWH\, or MEEI you must register for the workshop through your scheduler. If you desire MOCA certification you must tell your scheduler before coming to CMS. All others should register through the website. We must know beforehand if you want to use this workshop to meet your MOCA requirement. We cannot register you for MOCA credit on the day of the workshop or after you have taken the workshop. \nLearn more about the course.
