SUMMARY:Circle Up for COVID-19 Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The Center for Medical Simulation’s online Circle Up for COVID-19 webinar provides a way for any member of a healthcare team who believes that patients are safer when teams coordinate their care delivery to develop their communication skills. \nHealthcare teams are dealing with challenges never before seen and are experiencing extreme stress. This webinar will introduce a system for communication that supports excellence in care delivery and staff resilience. \nThe course is delivered via Zoom\, a web conferencing platform. All materials and course interactions will occur online. In order to participate fully\, each person must have: \n\nTheir own computer\, tablet\, or mobile phone\nReliable high-speed internet access (minimum 3 Mbps upload/download speed)\nMicrophone and speakers (built-in\, headset or from webcam)\nOptional: Webcam\n\nMeet Your Instructors\n \nMary Fey\, PhD\, RN\, CHSE-A\, ANEF\nDr. Fey is currently the Senior Director\, Teaching and Learning at the Center for Medical Simulation and a Lecturer for Harvard Medical School. She has has been working in the field of clinical simulation since 2007 and has been responsible for developing clinical simulation programs\, integrating simulation into nursing curricula\, and designing simulation labs. \n \nChris Roussin\, PhD\nDr. Roussin is currently the Senior Director of Education Leadership and International Programs at the Center for Medical Simulation\, the Director of Academics and Research with the Boston Children’s Hospital Simulator Program\, an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School\, and the Department of Anesthesia\, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
