DESCRIPTION:Recording\nWatch On-Demand \n\nTuition\nComplimentary – $0 USD \nRegister Today\nAbout this session\nAs faculty have rapidly adopted online learning\, many have found it challenging – the technology\, managing the curriculum\, and especially connecting with learners in a meaningful way. Join experienced online teachers as they discuss creating an online community of practice and facilitating meaningful experiential learning online. \n\nLearning Objectives:\nFollowing this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nDiscuss practices for creating Social Presence online\nDescribe methods to facilitate online experiential learning\n\nEquipment Requirements\nThe webinar is delivered via Zoom\, a web conferencing platform. All materials and course interactions will occur online. In order to participate fully\, each person must have: \n\nTheir own computer\, tablet\, or mobile phone\nReliable high-speed internet access (minimum 3 Mbps upload/download speed)\nMicrophone and speakers (built-in\, headset or from webcam)\nOptional: Webcam\n\nRecording\nWe are aware that internet connection speed and bandwidth is not consistent globally and thus can cause intermittent interruption of audio and/or video from the webinar. We will make the entire webinar recording available after it concludes in the Resources section of our website\, including sharing any links referenced during the webinar. \nHost\n\n\n		\n  \n\n\nDemian Szyld\, MD\, EdM\nSenior Director\, Faculty Development Program\nCenter for Medical Simulation\, Boston\, Massachusetts\n	 \nDr. Szyld is an Emergency Medicine physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and a Lecturer at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Szyld was the first Simulation and Education Fellow at the STRATUS Simulation Center at BWH and is actively involved in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and has chaired the Formal Training Affinity Group\, led the Affiliations Committee and served as an Accreditation Site Reviewer and completed a term on the Board of Directors (2016-2019).\n   \n\nPresenters\n\n\n		\n  \n\n\nMary Fey\, PhD\, RN\, CHSE-A\, ANEF\nSenior Director\, Teaching and Learning\nCenter for Medical Simulation\, Boston\, Massachusetts\n \nDr. Fey has has been working in the field of clinical simulation since 2007 and has been responsible for developing clinical simulation programs\, integrating simulation into nursing curricula\, and designing simulation labs. She has completed both qualitative and quantitative studies on debriefing and provides faculty development to interprofessional groups of simulation educators.\n   \n\n  \n\n\n		\n  \n\n\nKate Morse PhD MSN RN AGACNP-Ret\nAssistant Dean for Experiential Learning and Innovation\nDrexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions\n \nDr. Morse has extensive clinical experience as a critical nurse and an acute care nurse practitioner. After 23 years in practice as a nurse practitioner\, she now focuses her care of patients on “simulated patients.” Dr. Morse has presented and worked with healthcare simulation centers nationally and internationally.
