SUMMARY:Weekly Webinars - Road Map to Relevance: SimZones Curriculum for Preparing People\, Teams and Systems
DESCRIPTION:Recording\nWatch On-Demand \n\nTuition\nComplimentary – $0 USD \nRegister Today\n\n\nAbout this session\nSimulation-based curriculum should fit into a clear learning progression and solve important developmental problems for the healthcare organization. This webinar introduces participants to the SimZones system of matching learners and learning objectives with optimized simulation-based learning curriculum and pathways. The “with good judgment” approach to SimZones offers a robust approach to curriculum development and faculty development for positive-minded and forward-thinking simulation programs of all sizes. \nLearning Objectives:\nFollowing this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nDescribe how SimZones offer a system of matching learners to learning objectives and optimized simulation-based learning programs\nCategorize simulation activities using SimZones\nOrganize simulation-based activities as part of a learning progression that leads to continuous readiness and mastery\n\nEquipment Requirements\nThe webinar is delivered via Zoom\, a web conferencing platform. All materials and course interactions will occur online. In order to participate fully\, each person must have: \n\nTheir own computer\, tablet\, or mobile phone\nReliable high-speed internet access (minimum 3 Mbps upload/download speed)\nMicrophone and speakers (built-in\, headset or from webcam)\nOptional: Webcam\n\nRecording\nWe are aware that internet connection speed and bandwidth is not consistent globally and thus can cause intermittent interruption of audio and/or video from the webinar. We do everything we can to minimize problems with streaming data; however\, please be forewarned that poor connections may result in slow or choppy audio and video. We will make the entire webinar recording available after it concludes in the Resources section of our website\, including sharing any links referenced during the webinar. \nHost\n\n\n \n \n\n\nDemian Szyld\, MD\, EdM\nSenior Director\, Faculty Development Program\nCenter for Medical Simulation\, Boston\, Massachusetts\n \nDr. Szyld is an Emergency Medicine physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and a Lecturer at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Szyld was the first Simulation and Education Fellow at the STRATUS Simulation Center at BWH and is actively involved in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and has chaired the Formal Training Affinity Group\, led the Affiliations Committee and served as an Accreditation Site Reviewer and completed a term on the Board of Directors (2016-2019).\n \n\nPresenters\n\n\n \n \n\n\nMary Fey\, PhD\, RN\, CHSE-A\, ANEF\nSenior Director\, Teaching and Learning\nCenter for Medical Simulation\, Boston\, Massachusetts\n \nDr. Fey has has been working in the field of clinical simulation since 2007 and has been responsible for developing clinical simulation programs\, integrating simulation into nursing curricula\, and designing simulation labs. She has completed both qualitative and quantitative studies on debriefing and provides faculty development to interprofessional groups of simulation educators.\n \n\n  \n\n\n \n \n\n\nChris Roussin\, PhD\nSenior Director\, Education Leadership and International Programs\nCenter for Medical Simulation\, Boston\, Massachusetts\n \nDr. Roussin is an innovator in simulation program and faculty development\, devising new ways to use simulation to build relationships\, quality\, safety and meaning in healthcare work. He has significant experience creating strong partnerships in complex healthcare organizations to build sustainable and culture-changing programs based in experiential learning and positive communication\, collaboration and feedback approaches.\n \n\n  \n\nLearn more about Weekly Webinars: Connecting and Learning with CMS
