Participants in the Simulation Instructor Training courses are leaders and instructors of existing or planned simulation facilities at their respective facilities. To ensure that each participant is mindful of solving an institutional problem, we require information on the nature and plans for these projects. Therefore, we ask all applicants to describe a problem or problems or research idea that they intend to address during the course and when they return home. The goal is to help participants define the beneficiaries of solutions to these problems, to identify the necessary resources and barriers to implementation of potential solutions and to describe how evaluation can be carried out after implementation of new solutions. These details will ensure that the participants’ experiences at CMS are immediately applied.
While all our of courses are conducted in English, the Center for Medical Simulation welcomes participants from diverse backgrounds. To gain the full benefit of your CMS course, you must be prepared to contribute fully to your simulation team. Participants who are fluent in English gain the most from our courses.
