Solving Problems for Simulation LeadersYou’ve been told that you’re in charge of a simulation program, but no one has offered you training on what you should do next.
Your simulation training taught you debriefing and case design, but no one taught you about managing finances, people, or logistics.
You’ve spent great effort to hire and train simulation program staff, but somehow they keep leaving, sending you back to square one.
You’re not alone: the Simulation Leadership Intensive is about solving the problems of managing a sim program that no one prepared you for. Whether you are an experienced program leader or a brand new one, our faculty team can guide you forward.
The Simulation Leadership Intensive is a three-day immersive experience for healthcare simulation professionals worldwide who lead simulation programs within health systems or who lead health professions education.
Grounded in the Center for Medical Simulation’s approach to Good Judgment, this course develops the leadership capacity required to guide yourself, your teams, and your organization through complexity and change.
Whether you are a clinician, simulation operations professional, or educator, you will learn alongside a diverse cohort of peers committed to strengthening their leadership practice. Through hands-on practice and structured reflection, you will deepen your ability to lead with curiosity and emotional intelligence, build motivated teams, and cultivate work environments where people can find joy and meaning in their everyday work. You will leave this course with a practical toolkit to lead simulation programs that create and sustainable impact on patient care, professional development, and system performance.
