Last Friday, March 19th, was a bittersweet day for everyone at CMS. It was Melissa Cirino’s last day here as our Simulation Tech “Extraordinaire”. Starting on Monday, March 22nd, she’ll begin a new position as the Assistant Regulatory Manager for the Neurological Clinical Research Institute at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
Melissa came to CMS a little over two and a half years ago from the Pharmacy Department at MGH. It didn’t take long for her to become an integral part of the CMS Team where she thrived and built lasting relationships not only with everyone here, but also with our extended community of clinicians and educators from around the world. Every day in CMS’ simulation lab is a little different and often full of challenges. However, whether it was helping to create realistic high fidelity medical environments, assuming acting roles in scenarios, troubleshooting equipment or helping to run the technical side of our online courses, Melissa did it all. She was not only able to adapt, but also to excel and have a laugh or two along the way.
Good luck in your new role Melissa. You are going to be missed!
