The Center for Medical Simulation celebrated another year of workshops, interviews, conversations, and reunions with the simulation community at IMSH 2026 in San Antonio! This year, CMS faculty participated in a total of 26 workshops, including team workshops on Readiness Planning, Teaching, Coaching, and Debriefing across the SimZones, and Psych Safety First Aid. Our newest offering was a workshop on “From Avoidance to Action: Phased Separation of Emotions and Practice in Simulation (PSEPS) for Emotionally Activating Scenarios”, a framework for safely training on highly emotionally activating cases in simulation that we are very excited to continuing spreading in the world of simulation.
In addition to our workshops, thank you to all the CMS Alums and friends of the program who joined us for a lively Alumni Reception! We appreciate your time and continued work with us as we strive to improve team readiness, clinician resilience, and unit culture every day.
Finally, we launched a series of live video podcasts at our booth on the trade floor! All of the CMS Senior Directors took part in these as part of their podcast series, which you can watch below, subscribe to on Youtube, or subscribe to on Apple Podcasts!
