CloseThe Center for Medical Simulation requires course participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend in person training. We will ask you to complete an attestation form that you are vaccinated in order to attend the course. A copy of your vaccination card is not required.
For the purposes of the attestation, you are considered “fully vaccinated” two weeks after completing the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks after receiving a single dose of a one-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson/Janssen). If you have received a different vaccine, please email us for clarification.
The December 6-10, 2021 course will be offered in person; however, this course may be converted to online delivery depending on coronavirus travel restrictions. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
Recently updated to incorporate the latest advances in simulation and educational practice, this intensive course is led by some of the world’s leading simulation educators. Integrating theories from multiple disciplines, the course focuses on simulation design and debriefing using the Debriefing with Good Judgment© method. Topics also include assessment in simulation and strategic thinking to advance your simulation program. Attendees join a growing community of Center for Medical Simulation graduates who are positioned as leaders in the field. Daily formats vary and include simulation scenarios, lectures, small and large group discussions, case studies, and practical exercises with feedback. Participants will create, run and debrief simulation cases and receive feedback on debriefing skills from leading debriefing experts.
