CMS Hosts Consul General of Italy in Boston

Blog - CMS Hosts Consul General of Italy in Boston

Nicola De Santis, Consul General of Italy in Boston, visited the Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) in January for a tour of the facility and a demonstration of the e-REAL simulation system. Mr. De Santis joined Jenny Rudolph, PhD, Executive Director of CMS, for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Center’s training facilities. An operating room set-up, used for an earlier crisis resource management training session, provided Mr. De Santis with a firsthand look at the type of high realism medical environments  used by CMS in its courses and workshops.

Logosnet co-founder, Fernando Salvetti, was on hand to lead a demonstration of the e-REAL simulation system. e-REAL helps create interactive virtual and augmented reality environments for use in medicine, healthcare simulation, business, industry and education.. Mr. Salvetti, who also hails from Italy, has been working with CMS to integrate the e-REAL system into its training programs.

Mr. De Santis has been the Consul General of Italy in Boston since 2014. Prior to his role in Boston, he was the Directorate for Resources and Innovation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome.
