Blog - Dr. Jennifer Arnold Joins DJ Simulationistas for Two Episodes

Dan Raemer and Janice Palaganas welcome special guest star Dr. Jennifer Arnold on DJ Simulationistas…Sup?, the flagship podcast of the Center for Medical Simulation (CMS). Over the course of two episodes, the trio discusses Dr. Arnold’s development of a simulation training for families, Dan’s resemblance to Steve Martin, and how to create a psychologically safe learning environment for clinical debriefings.

Dr. Arnold is an attending neonatologist and the Medical Director of the JHACH Simulation Center at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She has spoken both nationally and internationally on healthcare simulation education and motivational talks on overcoming obstacles. Dr. Arnold is now featured with her husband, Bill Klein, on TLC’s docudrama, “The Little Couple,” which follows her personal and professional life. She has also appeared on television programs including “Oprah,” “The Today Show, “The Dr. Oz Show” and “The Doctors,” among others. Dr. Arnold is currently an acting member of the CMS Board of Trustees.

The unique opportunity for Dr. Arnold to guest star on DJ Simulationistas…Sup? came when Dan, Janice, and Jenny Rudolph, Executive Director of CMS, delivered the Simulation as a Teaching Tool course for staff at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in April.

Both episodes of the two-part series are now available on iTunes and SoundCloud.
