IMEPAC Araguari in Brazil has officially joined the Center for Medical Simulation’s (CMS) Affiliate Program becoming CMS’ fifth partnership. CMS and IMEPAC, a regional leader in Brazil providing innovative healthcare and medical training, will partner to strengthen IMEPAC’s commitment to becoming the regional and national leader known for improving the safety, quality and education of patients, employees, and students using continuous learning and simulation.
José Júlio Lafayette, IMEPAC, Brazil Executive Director and Dr. Henrique Arantes, IMEPAC, Brazil Coordinator travelled to Boston to meet with CMS faculty and staff. Mr. Lafayette and Dr. Arantes met with Jenny Rudolph, Executive Director of CMS, and Chris Roussin, Senior Director of Education Leadership and International Programs at CMS, to ceremoniously sign the Affiliation Agreement.
“IMEPAC’s leadership is completely committed to innovation through learning and excellence in simulation and debriefing. We are very excited about this extended partnership,” said Chris Roussin.
Prior to signing the agreement, Dr. Arantes, a CMS Comprehensive Instructor Workshop alum, completed CMS’ four-day Advanced Instructor Course.
IMEPAC joins a global community of CMS Affiliate Locations that includes: WTH Aachen University in Germany, the Hospital virtual Valdecilla in Spain, Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in China, and Mater Education in Australia. With each new international partnership formed, CMS’ goal of improving safety, quality, and education in healthcare becomes a global cause.
