The Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) is thrilled to announce that Komal Bajaj, MD, MS-HPEd has been appointed as the newest member of CMS’ Board of Trustees!

“CMS has made a positive impact on both simulationists and patients globally, including catalyzing my own journey in this space more than a decade ago,” says Dr. Bajaj.

Dr. Bajaj is Chief Quality Officer and Clinical Director of Simulation at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Dr. Bajaj is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and she was previously an adjunct faculty member at CMS.

“I’m honored to join the Board of Trustees of this trailblazing organization and advance its mission of using simulation to improve safety, quality, and education in healthcare. Simulation and debriefing are powerful techniques to promote organizational change and I look forward to working with the rest of the Board to extend the reach of this experiential modality within healthcare organizations and the patients they serve.”

The entire CMS community joins in congratulating Dr. Bajaj on her new appointment.
