Dr. Kate Morse has been promoted to Associate Director of the Center for Medical Simulation’s Affiliate Program.
Dr. Morse brought a host of skills to the Center for Medical Simulation when she joined us two years ago. Her primary work has been with the CMS Affiliate Program. She has taken the role of Lead Educator in the Mater Health Services in Brisbane Australia “Speaking Up With Good Judgment” program. This program will bring CMS’ affiliate hospital in Brisbane a way to communicate that engages all 7,000 Mater personnel in continuing to improve hospital systems, enhance patient safety, and create a culture where everyone’s ideas and skills are respected and appreciated. Dr. Morse is also the lead CMS faculty member for coordinating and executing our work with the Massachusetts General Learning Lab. She is among CMS’ leading experts on feedback conversations. Even before joining CMS full time, Dr. Morse was on the faculty of CMS’ Institute for Medical Simulation and now serves as a Course Director in the Institute for Medical Simulation.
Additionally, Dr. Morse has embraced and enhanced the open and honest culture at CMS — a place where each of us holds each other in high regard and to high standards. All of us at CMS so enjoy having Dr. Morse on our team and congratulate her on this much deserved recognition.
