Center for Medical Simulation Appoints Roxane Gardner, MD, MPH, DSc, as Senior Director of Clinical Programs

The Center for Medical Simulation proudly announces that Dr. Roxane Gardner has been appointed as its Senior Director of Clinical Programs. In this role, she’ll be leading the assurance of quality and innovation as well as new program and course development in CMS’ Clinical Programs. Dr. Gardner has been a principle faculty member of CMS since 2002 and Co-Director of  its Labor and Delivery Teamwork and Crisis Management program since its inception in 2003, and Director of the Visiting Scholars and Fellowship Program since 2014. Dr. Gardner will continue with both of these leadership roles and will also become a member of the CMS Leadership Group.

 Dr. Gardner received her MD degree from Boston University and also holds MPH and DSc degrees in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. In addition to her roles at CMS, Dr. Gardner is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at the Harvard Medical School and holds appointments at Boston’s, Brigham and Womens’ Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Perinatal patient safety, health professions simulation and evaluation of teamwork behaviors and team performance are the focus of her on-going research activities.
