Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen University in Germany has joined the Center for Medical Simulation’s (CMS) Affiliate Program. As an Affiliate Location, CMS will work with RWTH Aachen University to ensure its AIXTRA Skills Lab is a “Simulation Center of Excellence.” Through strategic planning assistance, employee fellowships, faculty development initiatives, and one-on-one consulting, RWTH Aachen University will gain access to invaluable guidance from CMS faculty.  

RWTH Aachen University joins the Hospital virtual Valdecilla in Spain, Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in China, and Mater Education in Australia as a CMS Affiliate Location. By partnering with select international simulation programs, CMS’ mission to improve safety quality and education in healthcare becomes a global effort.  

The AIXTRA Skills Lab will host a four-day Simulation as a Teaching Tool (SATT) course with CMS on June 3rd-6th. To learn more about taking the SATT course in Germany, please view the event flyer. Interested participants should email alenes@ukaachen.de to enroll.
